E-Mart24 Inc., a prominent South Korean convenience store operator, has announced its ambitious entry into the Cambodian market with plans to inaugurate its first outlet in June, aiming for a significant expansion to 100 stores within five years. This strategic move was disclosed during a press event at the Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh Hotel, highlighting the company’s vision for growth and establishing a strong foothold in Cambodia.

In a decisive step to ensure a successful launch and expansion, E-Mart24 has entered into a master franchise agreement with Saihan Partners, a collaboration between Cambodia’s Saisons Brother Holding, active in food, distribution, and construction, and South Korea’s Hanlim Architectural Group, known for real estate development. This partnership underscores E-Mart24’s commitment to adapt and cater to the Cambodian market through local collaboration.

Kang In-seok, responsible for E-Mart24’s operational support, expressed enthusiasm about being the first South Korean convenience store chain to enter Cambodia. He emphasized the intention to work closely with Saihan Partners to create stores that resonate with Cambodian consumers by offering unique value and convenience.

E-Mart24’s foray into Cambodia marks a significant extension of its international footprint, building on its existing operations of approximately 50 stores in Malaysia and Singapore, showcasing its global growth ambitions and commitment to bringing its convenience store model to new markets.
