Delta Electronics, a leader in power supply manufacturing, has unveiled ambitious plans to significantly expand its production footprint in Thailand. The company recently completed its eighth facility and R&D center in the Bang Phu Industrial Zone and has now announced the construction of three additional factories at a provisional cost of Thai Baht 4.125 billion (approximately NT$3.637 billion). This move underscores Delta’s strategic commitment to bolstering its production capabilities to meet the burgeoning demand in electric vehicle power electronics and information and communication technology infrastructure products.

These upcoming factories, designated as D13, D14, and D15, are part of Delta’s expansive strategy in the Bangpoo Industrial Estate, with an operational timeline set for 2026. The development includes a parking building and restaurant to support the workforce, along with two factories dedicated to Delta’s core competencies in power supply and ICT infrastructure-related products. This announcement follows closely on the heels of Delta’s decision last December to construct the WG3 and WG4 factories in Chachoengsao Province’s Wellgrow Industrial Estate, targeting a 2025 operational start.

Despite facing a year-on-year revenue dip of 1.7% in the first quarter, with figures standing at 91.298 billion yuan, Delta Electronics remains optimistic. This optimism is buoyed by the Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin’s disclosure of Delta’s plans to invest an additional US$500 million (around NT$16.1 billion) within the next four years. This investment aims to expand Delta’s presence in the automotive industry and the digital economy, reinforcing Thailand’s position as a key hub in Delta’s global manufacturing and R&D network.
