Crunchyroll, a leader in anime distribution and community building, has unveiled the nominees for its 8th Anime Awards, recognizing the excellence of creators, musicians, and cast members in the anime industry. The awards also celebrate various anime works available on streaming platforms and in theaters. Fans can now cast their votes on the Crunchyroll Anime Awards website, where a full list of nominated works is available.

In addition to announcing the nominees, Crunchyroll revealed the lineup of domestic and international guests scheduled to present at the awards ceremony. This diverse group includes Grammy Award-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion, Canadian actress Iman Vellani, Japanese singer LiSA, TV personality ROLAND, American model and drag entertainer Aquaria, British rapper Che Lingo, content creator Lena Lemon, recording artist Yaeji, and Filipino-Australian singer-songwriter Ylona Garcia.

Sony Group Corporation’s CEO, Kenichiro Yoshida, will open the ceremony, hosted by Sally Amagi and John Kabila. Crunchyroll President Raul Plini expressed excitement about the event, highlighting the role of nominated works in promoting anime’s global popularity.

The Crunchyroll Anime Awards will feature categories like Anime of the Year, Best New Series, and Best Animated Feature, among others. The event will be broadcast worldwide from Tokyo on March 2nd, with Sony Music Solutions Inc. providing event management support.

Crunchyroll, a joint venture between Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sony Music Entertainment, and Aniplex Inc., continues to be a pivotal platform for anime fans globally, offering a vast collection of officially licensed anime in multiple languages.
