Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. reported an 81% surge in quarterly operating profit, driven by strong sales of its Elden Ring downloadable content and growing demand for adult-targeted products.

The Tokyo-based entertainment company posted operating profit of 68 billion yen ($450 million) in the three months through September, compared with 37.5 billion yen a year earlier. Sales climbed 19% to 329.4 billion yen.

The company raised its full-year profit forecast by 39% to 160 billion yen, citing better-than-expected performance across its gaming and toy divisions. Annual revenue is now projected to reach 1.15 trillion yen.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion pack helped boost digital sales, while the company’s focus on high-margin products for adult consumers – including plastic models, trading cards and capsule toys – paid off both domestically and overseas.

The theatrical release of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM also contributed to earnings growth, supporting the company’s efforts to expand its intellectual property globally. Bandai Namco’s amusement facilities showed improved performance, benefiting from stronger integration with the company’s broader product portfolio.
