Formosa Petrochemical Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the petrochemical business in Taiwan, Australia, Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Mainland China, and internationally. The company is involved in the refining of crude oil; selling of refined petroleum products; and producing and selling of olefins, including ethylene, propylene, butadiene, and BTX. Its products include gasoline, diesel, liquefied petroleum gas, jet fuel/kerosene, naphtha, petrochemical raw material, fuel oil/asphalt/sulphur, base oil, and lubricants. The company also produces and sells water, electricity, and steam. In addition, it engages in the retailing; transportation; oil exploration; oil drilling; ship chartering; natural gas transportation; and investing activities. Formosa Petrochemical Corporation was incorporated in 1992 and is headquartered in Mailiao, Taiwan.
