The company undertakes construction works, including public facilities, stadiums, office buildings and condominiums, and logistics facilities. In addition, it manufactures and sells coal ash mixed materials; produces and sells agricultural products and related consulting services; produces, sells, and repairs construction machinery, mining machinery, and other machinery and equipment; and manufactures and sells construction materials, stone materials, chemical products, etc. Further, the company engages in the sale, rental, brokerage, management, and appraisal of real estate; land and sea transportation and warehousing; financial instruments trading and investment advisory business; worker dispatch and paid employment placement business; cemetery business; money lending, debt guarantee, general leasing, and other financial services; and ownership, rental, and management of leisure facilities, such as golf courses, ski resorts, etc. Additionally, it is involved in the generation and supply of electricity, heat, etc.; and soil and water remediation in rivers, lakes, and bays, as well as the collection, transport, processing, disposal, and recycling of municipal, industrial, and construction waste. The company also provides construction management; waterproofing and water stoppage work; and architectural design and business planning. The company was incorporated in 1951 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
