Taiwan’s Team Group Inc. rolled out an industrial-grade DDR5 memory module, pushing speeds to 6400MHz in a bid to capture market share in the growing industrial computing sector.
The memory manufacturer incorporated a client clock driver into the design to manage signal stability at higher frequencies, addressing a key challenge in industrial applications where reliability is crucial.
The new module series, available in both CU-DIMM and CSO-DIMM form factors, features dynamic frequency and voltage adjustment capabilities. This allows the memory to adapt to varying system loads and environmental conditions, which the company says will optimize power consumption.
Team Group’s move comes as industrial users increasingly demand faster memory solutions for automation, artificial intelligence, and edge computing applications. The company hasn’t disclosed pricing or availability details.
The Taiwanese firm, listed on the Taipei Exchange under the ticker 4967, competes with larger rivals like Samsung Electronics Co. and Micron Technology Inc. in the specialized memory market.
