Taiwanese semiconductor materials maker Ingentec Corporation plans to expand its photoresist removal liquid production capacity, betting on growing demand from global chip manufacturers.
The company expects to triple output at its second factory by mid-2025, with the expansion project taking 3-4 months to complete, Chairman Chen Yali told investors at a technology forum. The move comes as Ingentec’s current 288-ton annual capacity facility heads toward full utilization in the fourth quarter.
The Taipei-based firm has secured orders from customers in Singapore, Taiwan and the United States for its photoresist removal solutions, used in both advanced and mature semiconductor manufacturing processes. The company currently has 12 products ready for mass production.
Ingentec reported earnings per share of NT$2.35 ($0.07) in the first eight months of 2024. Market analysts estimate the existing production line could generate annual revenue of NT$200-250 million ($6.3-7.9 million).
The expansion highlights increasing demand for specialized semiconductor cleaning materials as chip manufacturers worldwide ramp up production amid supply chain challenges. The company expects fourth-quarter performance to surpass third-quarter results, driven by stronger order intake.
