Automobile wheel rim manufacturer SuperAlloy Industrial held its shareholders’ meeting today and approved a cash dividend of NT$2.0129 per share for 2023, representing a nearly 70% payout ratio. This marks the 10th consecutive year the company has distributed dividends of at least 10% per share. Based on today’s closing price of NT$81, the cash yield stands at approximately 2.5%.
Chairman Huang Congrong highlighted that 2023 saw major car manufacturers gradually return to normal operations as pandemic-related disruptions, supply chain restrictions, and component shortages eased. This normalization, coupled with solid performance in the global supercar and luxury new car markets, led to a surge in SuperAlloy’s custom wheel rim shipments. Notably, there was strong demand from major manufacturers in Japan and the UK, including JLR, Porsche, and Toyota.
Looking ahead to 2024, SuperAlloy remains cautiously optimistic. With the automotive industry increasingly focused on electric and new energy vehicles, SuperAlloy is poised to expand its momentum in taking orders for customized wheels for new models. The company is also committed to sustainability, with initiatives such as 100% recycling of replaced components and exploring the application of forged parts in various industries. Currently, Qiaoxin is engaging with several suppliers of key semiconductor wafer equipment components and is in the process of obtaining necessary certifications.
SuperAlloy’s recycling plan aims to leverage significant opportunities in the recycled aluminum market, potentially enhancing the company’s order visibility and contributing to sustainable growth.
