South Korean music streaming provider Dreamus Co. is expanding its reach through a partnership with LG Electronics, bringing its FLO platform to LG’s upcoming AI Home Hub.
The deal adds to Dreamus’s growing portfolio of business partnerships, which includes integration deals with luxury automakers Volvo and BMW for their in-vehicle entertainment systems. The SK Square subsidiary has also secured promotional agreements with iM Bank and Samsung Finance Networks’ Monimo app.
FLO’s library of more than 80 million songs will be available to users of LG’s smart home management system when it launches later this year. The platform uses artificial intelligence to create personalized music recommendations.
Business division head Lee Sae-rom said the company is pursuing growth through various B2B ventures. The move comes as streaming services face increased competition in the Korean market, where global players like Spotify vie for market share against local providers.
The integration will allow LG customers to control their music through the same interface used to manage other connected home features like lighting and temperature controls.
The partnership highlights the growing convergence of streaming services with smart home technology as companies seek new distribution channels beyond traditional mobile apps.
