SK C&C is rolling out artificial intelligence-powered cloud services, targeting manufacturing clients as the South Korean technology company seeks to transform into a global managed service provider.

The technology unit of SK Group plans to leverage its existing cloud management platforms to help manufacturers automate their operations and boost efficiency. The company will integrate AI capabilities into its suite of solutions, including multi-cloud management, cloud modernization, container management, and API management platforms.

The new service will monitor factory equipment and process data in real-time, using AI to detect and respond to potential threats. This approach aims to enhance digital factory operations while strengthening cybersecurity measures.

SK C&C will first focus on the domestic market across various sectors including gaming, telecommunications, finance, and logistics before expanding globally. The company’s cloud division head Shin Jang-soo said the firm is committed to becoming a global AI managed service provider.

The move comes as Korean manufacturers increasingly seek to modernize their operations through cloud computing and artificial intelligence, creating new opportunities for domestic technology providers to compete with global cloud giants.
