Pegatron, a prominent foundry manufacturer, reported NT$93.104 billion in revenue for May, reflecting a 3.8% increase from April and a 2.7% rise year-on-year. Cumulatively, the company’s revenue for the first five months of this year reached NT$433.179 billion, though this marked a 16.08% decline from the same period last year.
In May, Pegatron shipped 730,000 laptops, marking a significant 39.04% increase from April and an 8.14% rise compared to May last year. The company noted varying performances across its product segments—information products, consumer electronics, and communication products—resulting in overall monthly and annual revenue growth.
The spotlight on AI servers remains intense, with artificial intelligence and high-performance computing driving industry trends. Despite a late start, Pegatron is concentrating on acquiring regional cloud service provider (CSP) customers, with plans to commence shipments in the fourth quarter. Additionally, Pegatron is strategizing to expand its AI server production capacity, further underscoring its commitment to advancing in the AI sector.
