NCSOFT Corp., a leading South Korean gaming company, announced a partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) to distribute four major titles on its Purple platform. The collaboration marks a significant expansion for Purple, which had previously only offered NCSOFT-developed games.
Starting with Horizon Forbidden West, NCSOFT will gradually release Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for players in South Korea. The games will be available exclusively in the country, bringing popular PlayStation titles to a new audience through NCSOFT’s PC and mobile cross-play platform.
Launched in 2019, Purple is now transforming into a broader game distribution platform, allowing users to purchase and play third-party games. The partnership with Sony underscores NCSOFT’s ambitions to diversify its offerings and enhance its presence in South Korea’s competitive gaming market.
