In July, Doosan Enerbility achieved a significant milestone by securing contracts valued at over 1 trillion won ($719.84 million) for the production, service, and construction of K-gas turbines. The company announced a major contract with Korea Midland Power worth 580 billion won for the Haman Combined Cycle Power Plant on July 22. This contract involves the design, production, supply, and construction of key equipment, including a 380MW-class gas turbine, with completion slated for 2027.
The power block, which includes essential components like turbines, generators, and cooling systems, will be equipped with a large gas turbine developed using domestic technology. Doosan Enerbility will also supply steam turbines and auxiliary equipment as part of this comprehensive project.
Earlier in the month, Doosan Enerbility signed a contract with Korea South-East Power to supply major equipment for the Bundang Combined Cycle Power Plant. Additionally, on July 10, the company secured a long-term maintenance service contract with Korea Southern Power for the Andong Combined Cycle Power Plant’s second unit. These deals mark a “triple crown” achievement for Doosan Enerbility in July, showcasing its leadership in the K-gas turbine market.
Doosan Enerbility has surpassed 1 trillion won in orders for the production and servicing of major equipment related to large gas turbines over the past year, beginning with a contract in June last year with Korea Midland Power for the Boryeong New Combined Cycle Power Plant.
Looking ahead, Doosan Enerbility aims to secure over 100 gas turbine orders by 2038 and expects to achieve 1 trillion won in sales from the gas turbine service sector alone within the same period. This strategic focus underscores the company’s commitment to leading advancements in the power generation industry.
