Chunghwa Telecom’s financial performance in November reached new heights, with a record-breaking revenue of 20.23 billion yuan, showcasing a strong annual growth rate of 4.8%. The net profit after tax also increased by 2.3% to 2.86 billion yuan, resulting in an earnings per share (EPS) of 0.36 yuan. The cumulative revenue for the first eleven months of the year reached an impressive 201.01 billion yuan, with a net profit after tax of 34.63 billion yuan and an EPS of 4.46 yuan.

The telecom company attributed its outstanding performance to excellent results in various business segments. The personal household business group experienced growth in core and sales businesses, maintaining an upward trend. The corporate business group continued its steady development, while the international business group sustained double-digit annual revenue growth rates.

Chunghwa Telecom’s mobile business achieved remarkable results in November, marking 32 consecutive months of growth in overall mobile service revenue. The 6.6% annual growth was driven by an increase in 5G users and mobile data revenue due to international roaming growth. The monthly Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) rose by 5.1% year-on-year for 32 consecutive months, with a low mobile monthly churn rate of 0.43%, the lowest in the telecommunications industry.

The fixed-line broadband segment saw increased revenue, particularly in Wi-Fi, which experienced nearly a 45% annual revenue surge. Sales of the iPhone 15 series contributed to rising sales revenue and overall revenue injection. Emerging businesses, including information security, ICT integration projects, and smart networking, recorded significant revenue growth, with the information security business revenue more than doubling year-on-year.

Chunghwa Telecom’s customer base remained strong, with the total number of mobile communication customers reaching 13.03 million by the end of November. Monthly rental customers increased by 1%, growing for 35 consecutive months, and optical generation broadband users reached 3.797 million. High-speed users, attracted by the “Speed Must Go” solution, surpassed 1.273 million customers with speeds above 300Mbps, while the number of MOD customers reached 2.054 million.
