Appirits announced on September 30 that it will acquire all shares of Quail, a Kagoshima-based developer specializing in cloud-based applications, web, and smartphone app development. The acquisition, valued at ¥89.8 million, will make Quail a wholly owned subsidiary effective October 1.

Quail, known for its work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a wide range of digital development services, aligns well with Appirits’ core “Web Solutions Business.” By integrating Quail into its operations, Appirits aims to secure additional digital talent, strengthen recruitment in new regions, and expand its customer base in local markets.

While the acquisition is expected to create synergies and support future business expansion, Appirits noted that the financial impact for the fiscal year ending January 2025 will be minimal. Quail will be consolidated into Appirits’ results from the third quarter of that fiscal year, with any necessary updates to earnings forecasts disclosed promptly.
