Aerospace Industrial Development Corp. (AIDC) announced a significant step forward in international collaboration by signing a memorandum of cooperation with AEVEX Aerospace, a U.S. firm specializing in unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The agreement, signed by AIDC Chairman Hu Kaihong and AEVEX CEO Brian Raduenz, marks AIDC’s entry into the field of air and ground unmanned equipment systems.
AEVEX Aerospace is renowned for its expertise in designing, manufacturing, and integrating unmanned aerial systems. The collaboration began following visits by AEVEX to AIDC’s avionics plant and advanced composite material center last December and April, during which both parties expressed a strong willingness to cooperate. The joint venture aims to establish a UAS supply chain base in Taiwan, leveraging AIDC’s leadership and support from domestic aerospace system suppliers.
AIDC boasts extensive experience in aviation product manufacturing and excels in R&D, production, and full aircraft system integration. The company’s advancements in composite materials and avionics position it well to make significant contributions to the international drone manufacturing sector.
AIDC is committed to expanding its presence in the UAS market, emphasizing its capabilities in both military and commercial applications. The company has engaged with various domestic manufacturers to meet industry needs in commissioning, system integration, and logistics maintenance. This new venture with AEVEX Aerospace signifies AIDC’s ambition to address broader applications and cater to global market demands.
The partnership underscores AIDC’s strategic vision to become a key player in the global UAS industry, ensuring its presence wherever there is a demand for advanced unmanned systems.
