Wistron and Wiwynn have signed an agreement with the Taipei City Government to secure land rights in the Neihu District’s Tammei Section for their new corporate headquarters. Wiwynn Technology Chairman Hong Li’an announced that the new headquarters, the company’s first in its 12-year history, will cater to the growing AI production demands.
On May 9, Wistron won the land rights tender for the Tammei section, encompassing 6,407.79 square meters with a 225% floor area ratio and a 40% built-in coverage rate, valid for 60 years. Located within the Lake Technology Park, the site is strategically positioned near Wistron’s current offices and the Taipei City Digital Content Innovation Center.
The new facilities will feature gold-level green and smart buildings, aiming to support the anticipated expansion in AI capabilities. With the demand for cloud data centers surging, Wiwynn is also investing heavily in production capacity in South Korea, Malaysia, and Mexico. The Neihu headquarters will consolidate Wiwynn’s 1,500 employees and is expected to create 3,500 additional jobs, targeting an output value of 800 billion NT$ by 2030.
Both Wistron and Wiwynn are committed to transforming Neihu into a central AI corridor, enhancing the region’s research and development capabilities. This initiative aligns with their strategy to attract top talent and foster cross-domain expertise, collaborating with the Taipei City Government to establish an AI-centric, innovative smart city.
Hong Li’an emphasized the importance of sustainable development, noting that the new headquarters will incorporate environmentally friendly practices, particularly in energy conservation. This move marks a significant milestone for Wiwynn, enabling it to meet the growing demands of the AI industry and support its long-term growth objectives.
