LG Electronics Inc. posted record first-quarter revenue of 22.7 trillion won ($16.9 billion), crossing the 22 trillion won threshold for the first time as the South Korean tech giant continues to transform its business model beyond traditional consumer electronics.

Despite ongoing macroeconomic challenges, including a global economic slowdown, the company delivered an operating profit of 1.3 trillion won ($970 million), maintaining its streak of six consecutive years with quarterly operating profit exceeding 1 trillion won.

The company’s strong performance was largely driven by its B2B segments, particularly the Eco Solution business, which has become a primary growth engine for both revenue and profitability. The HVAC division, now operating as an independent entity within LG, secured major international contracts, including in Singapore.

LG’s premium home appliances maintained their market leadership position while the company accelerated its subscription model that bundles hardware with services. In media and entertainment, LG is integrating its display businesses – including TVs, laptops, and commercial displays – to generate synergy through its webOS platform.

The vehicle solution business continues to expand in high-value segments, especially in-vehicle infotainment systems, while diversifying into automotive content platforms.

These preliminary results signal LG’s ongoing shift toward higher-margin business lines to counter market volatility. The company will announce detailed divisional performance later this month.
