Fantasy Anime Dominates Japanese Streaming Charts as Spring Season Begins

Japanese streaming platforms revealed their latest anime rankings on March 31, with fantasy titles claiming the top spots across major services. The fantasy series “Shangri-La Frontier” has secured a third season following strong viewership performance, according to the rankings data.

“A-Rank Party” topped d Anime Store charts while “Shangri-La Frontier” led DMM TV and “The Apothecary Diaries” dominated ABEMA’s rankings. All three series have secured additional seasons, demonstrating Japanese viewers’ growing appetite for continuous storytelling formats.

The rankings highlight Japanese audiences’ preference for adventure-based fantasy and isekai (different world) narratives. New spring season anime are already making their presence felt, with titles like “Mistaken Workshop Master” placing in the top ten across platforms.
