Taiwan’s Wistron Corp. posted its highest-ever monthly revenue in December, reaching NT$105.65 billion ($3.4 billion), driven by robust artificial intelligence server shipments. The figure represents a 41.44% increase from the previous year.

The contract manufacturer achieved multiple milestones in the fourth quarter, with revenue climbing to NT$297.18 billion. Full-year sales topped NT$1 trillion for the first time, reaching NT$1.049 trillion.

While AI server business maintains strong momentum with expected double-digit quarterly growth in early 2024, the company faces headwinds in its PC segment. Notebook shipments reached 1.8 million units in December, with desktop and monitor volumes at 800,000 and 840,000 units respectively.

The company projects a 5-10% sequential decline across its main product lines in the first quarter due to seasonal factors. Management has adopted a more cautious stance on 2024 PC market growth, citing U.S. tax policy uncertainties and geopolitical challenges.

Wistron expects global PC market growth to remain in low single digits this year. The company’s chairman Simon Lin and CEO Robert Huang will likely provide updated operational targets at the annual employee gathering on January 17.
