Taihan Cable & Solution Co. has won a major contract worth 840 billion won (US$630 million) from Singapore PowerGrid to supply and install a 400-kilovolt (kV) ultra-high voltage power grid. This project represents roughly 30% of Taihan Cable’s 2022 consolidated revenue of 2.84 trillion won (US$2.13 billion).

Among the two contracts, the NDC 373 project, valued at 500 billion won (US$375 million), is the largest-ever domestic export of an ultra-high voltage alternating current transmission network. This marks Taihan Cable’s most significant project both domestically and internationally.

The project, which will construct Singapore’s highest voltage underground power grid, is crucial for meeting the country’s surging power demand, driven by the growth of AI and data centers. Taihan Cable will execute the project using a full turnkey approach, covering everything from design to production, installation, and testing.
