Shinsegae Duty Free has opened a premium store at Incheon International Airport, aiming to counter falling downtown sales due to the drop in Chinese tourism. The newly launched Shinsegae Zone, located in Terminal 2’s departure area, spans 2,107 square meters and showcases 140 brands, leveraging Shinsegae Department Store’s expertise in luxury brand management.
The store features a multi-brand fashion area equipped with transparent OLED displays, offering a unique blend of high-tech and luxury. Among the 95 fashion brands featured, a special focus is placed on golf wear, with dedicated sections for golf travelers from brands like J.Lindeberg and G/FORE.
Setting itself apart, the Shinsegae Zone also includes a pop-up store rotating exclusive offerings, currently showcasing limited-edition products such as Dior Beauty’s Plan de Paris. The store offers product sampling and testing areas, enhancing the customer experience.
Strategically positioned near the Korean Air lounge, the Shinsegae Zone is expected to attract a high volume of VIP travelers. The company plans to further expand its presence at Incheon Airport, with an ultra-luxury store set to open next year.
