South Korea’s LG Uplus Corp. announced the integration of generative AI technology into its U+AD advertising platform, significantly enhancing its capabilities by adding an automated function for analyzing advertising performance. This innovation is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to leverage advanced technology in its IPTV service, U+tv, which includes real-time broadcasting, VOD, and mobile banners across various platforms.
Handling advertising requests from around 500 brands annually, LG Uplus’s new generative AI feature transforms how advertising performance data is processed. Previously, performance metrics were analyzed using charts and graphs, a method that could be time-consuming and less efficient. The newly integrated AI now delivers comprehensive performance analysis reports to advertisers within one minute, simplifying the process and enabling quicker strategic adjustments.
Advertisers can now easily review their advertising outcomes and base their strategies on these data-driven insights. Additionally, LG Uplus mentioned that the AI can tailor analyses to specific advertiser requirements, including performance comparisons with competitors.
To further enhance these capabilities, LG Uplus plans to integrate its proprietary AI brand “ixi” into the U+AD platform. This move aims to support a hyper-personalization strategy, offering customized product advertisements to better meet individual consumer preferences.
This upgrade marks a significant step in LG Uplus’s mission to provide innovative, efficient, and highly personalized advertising solutions, positioning the company at the forefront of the digital advertising landscape.
