HD Hyundai Construction Equipment has secured orders for 557 construction equipment units from Middle Eastern countries and Türkiye in the first two months of 2025, representing more than 40% of its total regional sales for all of last year.

The South Korean manufacturer reported 333 units destined for Middle Eastern markets including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar, with the remaining 224 units heading to Türkiye. A notable breakthrough came with the company’s entry into the UAE mining sector through the sale of an 80-ton excavator.

HD Hyundai credits its success to its Dubai branch’s proactive approach in identifying large project opportunities and offering customized equipment packages, supported by rapid parts delivery through its Dubai logistics center.

The orders come amid economic diversification efforts across the Middle East, where Saudi Arabia and the UAE are investing heavily in non-oil sectors including tourism and aviation. Saudi Arabia is preparing infrastructure for upcoming major sporting events including the 2027 AFC Asian Cup and the 2034 World Cup, while Qatar is expanding its northern gas field.

The company plans to supply medium-to-large excavators in the 20-30 ton range by mid-year and will launch new specialized equipment, including a large block handler for stone transport at the Türkiye International Marble Fair in April. Customer events are also scheduled for May in Saudi Arabia and the UAE to showcase new backhoe loader products.
