ASUS Group has rolled out an artificial intelligence platform at Chang Gung Hospital, Taiwan’s largest private healthcare provider, marking the technology company’s deeper push into healthcare services.
The system, developed by ASUS Cloud, ASUS subsidiary AICS, and Syscom Computer Engineering, integrates 12 AI models to assist doctors in analyzing X-rays, ultrasounds, and electrocardiograms. Since its launch, the platform has been implemented across all nine Chang Gung hospitals nationwide.
Chang Gung’s CEO Yu Jin-bang said medical staff accessed the AI diagnostic tools over 27,000 times within two months of deployment. The platform includes an AI assistant powered by large language models to help streamline medical report analysis and generation.
ASUS built a private cloud infrastructure to meet strict healthcare data security requirements, according to Chen Chung-cheng, ASUS Cloud’s chief technology officer. The system can be scaled up and is now operational in Chang Gung facilities from Keelung in northern Taiwan to Kaohsiung in the south.
The platform connects to hospital information systems and data warehouses, enabling AI-assisted clinical applications across multiple medical departments while maintaining patient data security.
