ASUSTeK Computer Inc. reported strong December sales with revenue reaching NT$47.4 billion ($1.5 billion), marking a 32% increase from the previous year, though dropping 14.5% from November. The Taiwanese tech giant’s brand revenue climbed 33.4% year-on-year to NT$42.8 billion ($1.36 billion).
The company wrapped up 2023 with total revenue of NT$585.9 billion ($18.6 billion), showing a 21.2% improvement from 2022. Brand revenue for the full year rose 22.2% to NT$547.3 billion ($17.4 billion).
ASUSTeK chairman Jonney Shih noted that while 2024 might not match the company’s record-setting performance of 2021, it’s positioned to deliver its second-best results ever. The server division achieved its five-year growth target of quintupling revenue in just half the projected time, reaching the milestone in early 2024.
The company’s AI-powered Copilot+ PC lineup currently represents a small portion of overall sales, but ASUSTeK plans to expand this segment through partnerships with chip manufacturers. This move aligns with the broader industry push toward AI-enabled computing devices in 2024.
