Delta Electronics Inc. plans to consolidate its Slovak operations by merging two wholly-owned subsidiaries, marking another step in the Taiwanese power equipment manufacturer’s European restructuring efforts.

The company’s Delta Electronics Slovakia unit will absorb Eltek sro, both currently held through Delta Electronics Thailand PCL. The reorganization combines Delta’s power supply manufacturing operations with Eltek’s telecommunications power systems business under one roof.

The Taipei-based firm expects the consolidation to simplify its organizational structure in Eastern Europe, where it has been expanding its manufacturing footprint over the past decade. The merger involves two fully-owned entities and won’t affect shareholders’ equity, according to a company statement.

Delta Electronics, which supplies power components to major global electronics manufacturers, has been working to streamline its international operations amid growing competition in the power systems market. The Slovak merger follows similar consolidation moves by the company in other regions as it seeks to reduce operational overhead and improve market responsiveness.
